This is a shame considering how well Gore has been playing in the preseason. He rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries with one touchdown before exiting on Saturday. He's competing with Ray Davis and Ty Johnson for the backup role behind James Cook. Gore doesn't have a great fantasy outlook right away with Cook being the workhorse back in Buffalo. However, he has decent potential and is a solid hold in deep or dynasty formats, assuming the results from his testing come back negative for any significant damage.

Gore posted a long run of 12 yards on the day. The 22-year-old Southern Mississippi standout went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft with uninspiring workout metrics, and like his father before him, Gore will likely need to overcome a lack of explosiveness to make an impact at the next level. He's currently the No. 5 back on Buffalo's RB depth chart, but Saturday's performance against the Bears at least prevented Gore's stock from dropping even further.
